Bulldogs pick up Apollo Conference win

Jackson Bohm and Lucas Dyer scored 12 points apiece on Friday (Dec. 8) as the Mahomet-Seymour boys’ basketball team blitzed visiting Effingham, 59-37, in an Apollo Conference game.
M-S led, 18-10, at halftime, but pulled away thereafter thanks to a 23-point third quarter outburst.
Dyer stuffed the stat sheet. He also had eight rebounds and four steals. Bohm turned in an overall performance that included four assists and three steals.
Landyn Hannah knocked down three three-pointers and tallied nine points. Braden Pagel added seven points. Also reaching the scoring column for the Bulldogs were Ryken Kirby (five points), Cade Starrick (five points), Henry Wagner (four points), Gavin Bailey (three points) and Miles Woolsey (two points).
Starrick drilled two three-pointers. Dyer and Kirby made one apiece.
Pagel hauled down seven rebounds.
M-S (4-4) returns to action on Tuesday (Dec. 12) at home against Taylorville.
