Bulldogs on an 11-game win streak

Mahomet-Seymour’s unbeaten seventh-grade boys’ basketball team won its 11th consecutive game on Tuesday (Dec. 6), blitzing Bloomington George Evans, 40-22 at home. Five days earlier (Thursday, Dec. 2), M-S thumped Rantoul Eater, 44-23, at home.
Jackson Golden registered a season-high 19 points against Evans to lead the Bulldogs. Konner Fisher drained two three-pointers en route to a nine-point performance.
M-S grabbed a 14-3 lead after one quarter.
Against Eater, the Bulldogs led at halftime, 27-2.
Tristen Adams led a balanced Bulldog attack with nine points. Golden scored eight points and Atticus Bohm added six points. Fisher contributed five points.
The M-S eighth-graders lost a 61-49 decision to Rantoul Eater despite a season-high 28 points from Paxson O’Malley.
Bryson Tiefenthaler tallied 11 points, including a 5-for-5 showing from the free throw line.
M-S fell behind, 25-7, after one quarter.
On Tuesday (Dec. 6), O’Malley collected nine points in a 45-23 loss to Bloomington George Evans. Brayden Graddy and Tiefenthaler each tallied four points.
The eighth-grade Bulldogs have a 7-4 overall record.
Both M-S teams return to action on Thursday (Dec. 8) at Urbana Middle School.
