Bulldogs end regular season with win over Bloomington

The Bulldogs’ bats were on fire on Thursday (May 19) when the Mahomet-Seymour baseball team ended the regular season with a 13-7 triumph at Bloomington.
M-S pounded 19 hits, including two triples by Blake Wolters and two doubles by Carter Johnson.
Wolters ended with four hits. Johnson and Alex McHale each landed three hits. Contributing two hits apiece were Mateo Casillas, Jaedon Lager and Chase Wagers.
Wolters delivered three RBI. Evan Ruzich drove in two runs. Wolters and Braden Houchin each tallied three runs.
Houchin picked up his second consecutive win. He threw three innings and issued two walks to go with two strikeouts. Ruzich worked the final four innings, walking no one and striking out three.
M-S (23-5) returns to action on Thursday (May 26) at home in a Class 3A regional semifinal game against Centennial.
