Bulldogs defeat Urbana before Thanksgiving break

Kylie Waldinger scored 17 points and Reese Gallier had 16 points on Monday (Nov. 20) as the Mahomet-Seymour girls’ basketball team earned a 45-15 victory at Urbana.
Gallier connected for a team-best three three-pointers.
Kara Carney tallied five points. Contributing two points apiece were Grace Binkley, Hannah Martin and Sidney Young. Adaine Eisenmann connected on one free throw.
The Bulldogs built a 9-2 lead after one quarter led at halftime, 23-8. M-S held the Tigers to six field goals in the contest.
On Tuesday (Nov. 21), in their home-opener, the Bulldogs took a 58-48 loss to Metamora despite a career-high 18 points from Gallier. Waldinger connected for 13 points and Ellie Dallas ended with nine points.
Gallier hit 8 of 10 free throws.
Other point-makers for M-S were Campion with five points and Young with three points. Campion came off the bench in the second half and gathered six rebounds.
Metamora led, 20-14, after one quarter and 39-27 at halftime.
M-S (3-3) returns to action on Tuesday (Nov. 28) at Bloomington Central Catholic.
