Bulldogs defeat Eureka on the road

Savannah Orgeron and Chloe Pruitt combined for 15 first-quarter points on Thursday (Dec. 15) at Eureka as the Mahomet-Seymour girls’ basketball team built a lead it never relinquished in a 46-39 triumph.

The Bulldogs led, 15-2, after one quarter.

Orgeron swished 19 points to go with a team-high eight rebounds. Pruitt netted a season-high 14 points and cleared five rebounds.

Abby Bunting had matching totals of six points and six rebounds. Durbin Thomas added five points as well as three steals. Kylie Waldinger finished with four rebounds.

M-S (9-3) returns to action on Wednesday (Dec. 21) at Rantoul.

The M-S junior varsity squad also picked up a win at Eureka, 54-20.
