Senior Track and Field Athlete Brandon Bretz will be committing to continue athletic participation on the intercollegiate level at Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville.
Located in Edwardsville, Illinois, the Cougars are a NCAA D-I program that competes as a member of Ohio Valley Conference.
A four-year varsity letter-winner, Brandon was an I.H.S.A. Class 2A State Qualifier in the 400 Meter Dash, finishing 3rd with a time of 50.01. Bretz’s was a 2017 Corn Belt Conference Champion in the 400 Meters and his overall best time (49.6) ranks 2nd all-time in the history of the Mahomet-Seymour High School Track and Field program.
Brandon is the son of Matthew and Christine Bretz of Mahomet.
