Running an all-underclassmen lineup, the Mahomet-Seymour girls’ cross-country team finished third in the nine-school Olney Class 2A regional on Saturday (Oct. 22).
Junior Ava Boyd took third in the 63-runner field, running the 3-mile layout in 19 minutes, 35.55 seconds.
Other team leaders were sophomore Chloe Bundren (ninth in 20:39.28), sophomore Ava Jansen (25th in 22:15.57), freshman Hadley Grotelueschen (27th in 22:21.22), sophomore Emma Frazier (29th in 22:31.24) and freshman Jinan Abdo (52nd in 24:49,98,
M-S will return to action on Saturday (Oct. 29) in the Chatham Glenwood Sectional. The girls’ race will begin at 11 a.m.
