Boneyard Arts Festival showcases local art this weekend
Local artists from East Central Illinois will showcase their work throughout the Champaign-Urbana area during the Boneyard Arts Festival from April 12 to 15.
The annual event, which always brings an exhibit to Mahomet, brings together local artists, businesses and organizations for a special event showcasing the art of Champaign County.
For a list of venues and artists, visit the host 40 North website.
The Museum of the Grand Prairie has worked with Champaign’s Stratton Elementary’s students to examine what life was like in 1997, the year their school was built.
Many of the young artists will be on hand to meet and greet, and the Museum will have multimedia materials available for visitors to make their own amazing masterpiece.
The exhibit is free and open from 1 to 4 p.m.
