Sophomore Blake Wolters helped lead the 2021 Mahomet-Seymour baseball team to the IHSA Class 3A baseball regional championship, pitching a complete game, only allowing three-hits.
Over 32 innings in seven games, the 6’1” pitcher struck out 38 batters, and accumulated five wins for the Bulldogs, which ended the season with a 15-11 record. He led the team in earned run averages at 4.16.
With a .416 batting average, Wolters had nine multi-hit games, and led the Bulldogs with triples (2—tied with Chase Wagers).
