Mahomet-Seymour Junior Ainsley Winters is leading the unbeaten Mahomet-Seymour girls’ golf team heading into their third week of play.
Coming off a 2020 Sectional appearance, Winters earned top honors as the Bulldogs defeated Tuscola on Aug. 17.
She went on to lead her team in a win over Normal West, shooting a 44 at Lake of the Woods Golf Course. Winters improved by one shot, 43, earning the top spot at Blue Ridge, and against Monticello and Rantoul/PBL.
The 6-0 Bulldogs jump back into action on Sept. 7 against in Apollo Conference play against Charleston and Effingham at the University of Illinois Blue and Orange Course.
