Annual Holiday Tradition Returns with “To Grandmother’s House We Go!”

The holiday season comes alive at the Museum of the Grand Prairie on Saturday, December 7, 2024, with the much-loved event “To Grandmother’s House We Go!” From 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, families and friends of all ages are invited to enjoy an evening of festive fun at this cherished annual program.

This free event offers an array of activities sure to delight visitors of all ages. Participants can create and take home classic holiday crafts and decorations, including popcorn garlands and pomanders, perfect for adding a touch of tradition to their holiday celebrations. The program also features interactive activities that explore the rich diversity of winter holiday traditions, ensuring a fun and educational experience for everyone.

The magic doesn’t stop indoors. Guests are encouraged to bundle up and step outside to experience “Night Lights” in the Mabery Gelvin Botanical Garden, where thousands of twinkling lights will illuminate the grounds, creating a dazzling winter wonderland.
