Andrew Lawson Triumphs at 72nd Naughtin Open, Securing Golf Championship with Stellar Final Round

Andrew Lawson recovered from a one-shot deficit on Sunday (June 2) to win the championship flight of the 72nd Naughtin Open golf tournament at Lake of the Woods.
Lawson fired a first-round 76, but bounced back with a 71 on Sunday to claim victory by three strokes with a 147.
For the second year in a row, the runner-up was M-S student Reis Claybrooke, a senior-to-be. He posted rounds of 77-73 for a 150.
Tying for third, with 156s, were Zach Paragi (77-79) and Ben Crane (80-76).
The first flight winner, Shane Allen, also trailed entering the final 18 holes. He had rounds of 87 and 76 for a 163 and had to make up one stroke on Sunday.
Placing second, at 165, was Matt McGiles (86-79). In third place was Oskar Hansen (88-81) with a 169.
The senior flight winner was Ron Sebestik, who had to overcome a 4-stroke deficit during the final 18 holes.
He had rounds of 80 and 72 for a 152.
The runner-up was John Malloy (76-80) with a 156. Taking third was Brian Beherns (78-81) with a 159.
In the senior division championship first flight, top honors were claimed by Guy Jamison (92-81) with a 173. He was in a three-way tie for first at the mid-way mark of the tournament.
Sharing second place at 177, with identical rounds of 92-85, were Tom Sadler and Don Thompson.
The tournament attracted 46 participants for the second straight year.
