Junior Savannah Amatyleon and freshman Adella Bird were singles winners for the Mahomet-Seymour girls’ tennis team on Thursday (Sept. 29) in a 7-2 dual-meet loss to Urbana at the Illini Grove courts.

Ametyleon overpowered Luna Morales, 6-4, 6-3.

Bird rallied from a one-set deficit to turn back Matika Pounginjai, 4-6, 7-5, 10-6.

M-S (6-6) returns to action on Thursday (Oct. 6) in its regular-season finale against St. Thomas More at the Illini Grove courts.
