Alsetter and Decker win three matches at Edwardsville

Seniors Lukas Alstetter and Gage Decker were the leaders on Saturday (Nov. 25) for the Mahomet-Seymour wrestling team, which won two of three dual meets at Edwardsville.
Alstetter (106 pounds) and Decker (157 pounds) won all three matches by pin, two of which occurred in fewer than 90 seconds for each grappler.
Two teammates (Colton McClure at 120 pounds and Talon Decker 138 pounds) were also 3-0 for the day. Talon Decker had two pins and a forfeit win. McClure had a technical fall win, a forfeit win and a 6-4 decision.
M-S defeated O’Fallon, 57-18, and Collinsville, 48-24, and lost to Edwardsville, 49-21. Bulldog wrestlers had a cumulative record of 23-18 for the day and a 15-10 edge in pins.
Other Bulldogs with pins were Adam Dobrucki (132 pounds), Kaleb Roberts (150 pounds), A.J. Demos (165 pounds), Cale Hillard (175 pounds), Hayden Hart (!90 pounds) and Noah Daniels (285 pounds).
The other Bulldog with at least one win for the day was Justus Vrona (126 pounds),
The fastest falls of the day for M-S were registered by Gage Decker (44 seconds), Alstetter (45 seconds), Talon Decker (1:01) and Hillard (1:07).
M-S (2-1) returns to action on Friday (Dec. 1) and Saturday (Dec. 2) at the Rockford East Invitational.
