Ainsley Winters was the medalist on Tuesday (Aug. 17) in the season-opening girls’ golf dual match for Mahomet-Seymour.
Winters fired a 44 at Lake of the Woods and finished four shots ahead of the runner-up, teammate Kayla McKinney (48).
M-S won the dual meet over Tuscola, 201-229.
Other varsity scorers for the Bulldogs were Maddy Clark (53), Gaby Davis (56), Emma Dallas (61) and Sydney Carleton (65).
In the junior varsity division, the top scorer was a 62 by Reghan Shelmadine.
M-S (1-0) returns to action on Thursday (Aug. 20) at Lake of the Woods against St. Thomas More and Normal West.
