Scott to play softball at Heartland Community College
MSHS Senior Student/ Athlete Madi Scott has committed to play her intercollegiate softball at Heartland Community College.
Located in Normal, Illinois the Heartland College Hawks compete as a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association and as a member of the Mid-West Athletic Conference. Heartland was the 2009 NJCAA D- II National Champions, are a four-time NJCAA Regional 24 Championship team and have captured 9 Mid-West Athletic Conference Championships.
Scott is a three – year Varsity Letter Winner for the Bulldogs who has started 77 varsity games during her prep career. At the plate, Scott is a career .400 hitter with a career slugging percentage near .600. She has totaled 6 home runs, 51 runs batted in and 11 stolen bases during her career.
Madi is the daughter of Gena Dillon of Mahomet and Jim Scott of Springfield and plans to major in sports physical therapy.
