The Mahomet-Seymour School District will accept name suggestions from the Mahomet community for the new Early Childhood Center from Dec. 4 through midnight on Dec. 19.
Suggestions should be emailed to namethebuilding@ms.k12.il.us with the individual’s name, address, town and zip code.
The Facilities Committee will narrow the suggestions down to five or six finalists. The full Board of Education will review and discuss the finalists. The board will then rank the suggested names 1 through 5 or 6 by closed ballot. Superintendent Rick Johnston and Board President Terry Greene will then tabulate the rankings, and the name with the lowest score will be the name of the new school.
