The 2025 Mahomet Music Festival is set for August 22 and 23, with headliners Gina Miles of Paxton and Parmalee.
Miles, winner of The Voice Season 23, is known for her emotional performances and powerful vocals. As part of Niall Horan’s team, Miles won US$100,000 and a record deal with Republic Records, a label owned by Universal Music Group. Since her win, she has performed The National Anthem at several NFL games, opened for Jewel and Horan in July 2024.
Another local talent and current contestant on American Idol, Lexi Tieffel, will open for Miles on Aug. 22. Tieffel, a Mahomet-Seymour student, has become a staple at the Mahomet Music Festival, performing several times in recent years.
The second night of the festival, August 23, will feature Parmalee, one of country music’s most successful bands. Known for their signature harmonies and chart-topping hits like “Carolina,” “Just the Way,” “Take My Name,” and “Girl in Mine,” Parmalee has earned multiple platinum records and over one billion on-demand streams. The band—composed of brothers Matt and Scott Thomas, cousin Barry Knox, and lifelong friend Josh McSwain—has solidified its place as a favorite on country radio.
Opening for Parmalee is Lakeview, a dynamic country-rock duo that blends blue-collar grit with high-energy performances. Comprised of Jesse Denaro and Luke Healy, Lakeview has gained traction with hits like “Home Team” and “Money Where Your Mouth Is.”
The Christian and acoustic bands for the 2025 festival have not yet been announced.
In addition to live music, attendees can enjoy carnival rides, food vendors, craft booths, and a beer garden. The festival parade will kick off on Saturday morning at 9:00 AM, adding to the weekend’s festivities.
