Claybrook fired a 76.

Teammate Kelton Hennesy carded a 77 and tied for third place.

The Bulldogs placed second to Mount Zion in the nine-school event and qualified for the IHSA 12-school Sectional to be held on Monday (Oct. 7) at the University of Illinois, in Savoy.

M-S’ Jackson Bohm matched his season’s best 18-hole score (78) and tied for sixth place.

The Bulldogs’ other regional participants were Carter Henrikson (84), Jacob Schoudel (85) and Cole Thrasher (86).

Mount Zion posted a 310 to win team honors. M-S was the runner-up (315) followed by Monticello (328), which also moved on to the sectional. Williamsville (347) was fourth.

The top three schools from the sectional will advance to the state finals.
