Claybrooke and Hennesy Lead Mahomet-Seymour to Victory at Champaign Central Invitational

Reis Claybrooke (70) and Kelton Hennesy (72) were the top two golfers in the 51-player Champaign Central Invitational on Monday (Sept. 30).

They helped the Bulldogs win team honors, edging Normal University High, 301-306.

Cole Thrasher tied for 12^th with a 79. Carter Henrikson and Nick Shelton shared 14^th place with 80s.

Jackson Bohm carded an 88.

M-S will return to action on Thursday (Oct. 3) in the rescheduled Class 2A Danville Regional tournament at Turtle Run. The meet was postponed from Wednesday (Oct. 2).

If they place among the top three teams, the Bulldogs will next compete on Monday (Oct. 7) in the Class 2A Centennial Sectional tournament at the University of Illinois course in Savoy.
