Meyer, Parker, and Shelton Share Medalist Honors as Mahomet-Seymour JV Golf Tops Champaign Central

Bulldogs Jack Meyer, Brocton Parker and Nick Shelton fired 33s on Wednesday (Sept. 25) to tie for medalist honors in a boys’ junior varsity golf match against Champaign Central at the Legends Course in Champaign.
The M-S team composite was 134. Central’s total was 149.
Other Bulldog scorers were Landyn Hannah (35), Crawford Korthals (40) and Brayden Rivest (43).
On Tuesday (Sept. 24), when a varsity match against Centennial was canceled, the Bulldogs’ varsity played an intersquad match with its JV squad. The M-S varsity scored a 148-160 victory.
Reis Claybrooke scored medalist honors with a 34. The next two scores were also from M-S varsity players, Cole Thrasher (37) and Kelton Hennesy (38).
Tying for fifth place individually were varsity player Jacob Schoudel and JV player Aden Bergman, both with 39s.
The other varsity scorers were Carter Henrikson (40) and Jackson Bohm (42).
Other JV leaders were Zach Blumenshine (40), Miles Rasche (40), Nick Shelton (41), Landyn Hannah (43) and Jack Meyer (44).
M-S returns to action on Thursday (Sept. 26) in the Apollo Conference Tournament at Taylorville.
