Zach Blumenshine and Miles Rasche shared medalist honors on Thursday (Aug. 15) as the Mahomet-Seymour junior varsity boys’ golf team opened its season with a 168-175 win over Rantoul/Paxton-Buckley-Loda at Willow Pond Golf Course.
Blumenshine and Rasche each fired 40s.
The Bulldogs’ next two scorers were Aden Bergman and Nick Helton, both with 44s. Rounding out the M-S lineup were Jack Meyer (45) and Ethan Peterka (51).
The M-S varsity opens its season on Monday (Aug. 19) at 1 p.m. in the Urbana Kickoff Classic at the University of Illinois courses in Savoy.
