Tyson Finch and Finn Randolph Lead Mahomet-Seymour to Third Straight Win Over Pontiac

Tyson Finch and Finn Randolph both popped two hits on Wednesday (April 17) as the Mahomet-Seymour baseball team posted a 5-3 win at Pontiac.
Gavin Bailey and Nolan Johnson contributed one hit apiece for the Bulldogs. Bailey, Johnson, Raymond Long and Cade Starrick each knocked in one run.
Scoring runs for M-S were Bailey, Camden Heinold, Johnson, Matthew Orr and Randolph. Long swiped three bases and Randolph stole two bases.
Max Young threw 5 1/3 innings and notched the win. He walked one and struck out seven.
Johnson followed him to the mound and finished the sixth inning by throwing six pitches – all strikes – and striking out both batters that he faced.
Starrick pitched a scoreless seventh inning, striking out one batter.
M-S (12-5) has won three consecutive games and returns to action on Thursday (April 18) at home against St. Thomas More.
