Mahomet-Seymour Edges Out Charleston in Season-Opening Boys’ Tennis Dual

Mahomet-Seymour won three matches in singles and two in doubles – each one in straight sets – and opened the boys’ tennis season on Thursday (March 28) with a 5-4 dual-meet win at Charleston.
Two of the Bulldogs’ losses in singles came in three sets.
The M-S singles wins were registered by Caleb Bushue at No. 2 (6-3, 6-1), Caidan Kogut at No. 5 (6-2, 6-0) and Samuel Lunney at No. 6 (6-3, 6-1).
Teammates losing three-set matches were William Bao at No. 3 (6-4, 5-7, 10-7) and Elliot Religioso at No. 4 (6-3, 3-6, 13-11).
In doubles, Bao and Religioso teamed up for a 6-4, 6-3 triumph at No. 2.
At No. 3 doubles, Jack Louis and Keaton Roberts combined for a 6-0, 7-6 (4) victory.
M-S (1-0) returns to action on Saturday (April 6) at the Mattoon Invitational.
