Ellie Barker smashed six kills to go with five digs and one service ace on Tuesday (Aug 29) as the Mahomet-Seymour volleyball team posted its third successive two-set sweep, 25-21, 25-15 at St Joseph-Ogden.
Addie Eisenmann registered four digs and three aces. Teammate Ellie Dallas amassed 14 assists, three digs and one kill.
M-S (3-0) returns to action on Friday (Sept. 1) in the Edwardsville Invitational.
The Bulldogs also prevailed in the JV match at SJ-O (22-25, 25-23, 15-2) and the freshmen match (21-25, 25-20, 16-14).
On Saturday (Aug. 26), the M-S freshmen took second in their own 10-team invitational.
The Bulldogs started off with wins over Chatham Glenwood (25-14, 25-14), Prairie Central (24-26, 25-21, 15-12), Rich Township (25-8, 25-8) and Heyworth (25-23, 25-13) before falling to Taylorville in the championship match (25-21, 25-10).
