Morton holds Mahomet-Seymour Soccer scoreless

For just the second time in 19 matches this season, the Mahomet-Seymour girls’ soccer team was held scoreless on Thursday (May 11) in its regular-season home finale, a 7-0 loss to Morton.

M-S (11-5-3) returns to action on Tuesday (May 16) in a Class 2A Regional which it is hosting at Middletown Field. The second-seeded Bulldogs will take on seventh-seeded Bloomington in the semifinals.

The winner will play in the championship game on Friday (May 19) against either third-seeded Lincoln or fifth-seeded Centennial.

In Apollo Conference action, M-S was 8-2 and placed second to Mattoon, which compiled a 10-0 league mark.
