Mahomet Family Dentistry Athlete of the Week: Brennan Houser

The first half of the Mahomet-Seymour football’s Class 5A playoff game against Metamora was close, but with play from Brennan Houser, the Bulldog broke away in the second half. 

The first half of the Mahomet-Seymour football’s Class 5A playoff game against Metamora ended with the closest score the Bulldogs have seen thus far.

But senior Brennan Houser knew what was at stake. The 6′1″ linebacker intercepted two passes and produced a season-high 11 tackles. As running back, Houser carried the ball five times and scored a vital touchdown for the Bulldogs who went on to win 44-28.

According to MaxPreps, Houser leads Mahomet-Seymour in tackles (6.5 per game).

Mahomet-Seymour faces Morris in the quarterfinal game at  4 p.m. game on Nov. 12.
