Led by medalist Leif Olson, the Mahomet-Seymour boys’ golf team won the Apollo Conference Tournament on Monday (Sept. 19) at Mattoon.
Olson, a junior, carded a season-best 75.
Two teammates joined him as all-conference performers based on their finishes. Sophomore Reis Claybrooke and senior Blake Harvey each posted 81s.
Rounding out the Bulldog lineup were Kelton Hennesy (84), Jacob Schoudel (85) and Parker Clements (88).
On Tuesday (Sept. 20), the unbeaten Bulldogs powered past Centennial, 159-215, in a dual meet at Lake of the Woods.
Hennesy, a freshman, led the way, carding a 38. Claybrooke followed with a 39.
The other M-S participants were Clements (41), Olson (41), Schoudel (41) and Harvey (42).
M-S (11-0) returns to action on Thursday (Sept. 22) in the Pontiac Scramble.
