Mahomet Family Dentistry Athlete of the Week: Avery Allen

Mahomet-Seymour Junior Outside Hitter, Avery Allen has helped the Bulldogs capture 8 wins to begin the 2022 season.

Allen’s notable performances include 12 kills and 7 digs in a win against Champaign Central.

In four tournament matches at Centennial High School, Allen amassed 21 kills, 24 digs and 9 aces. The Bulldogs defeated Morton, Mascoutah and Champaign Central before falling to tournament champion Bollingbrook.

Both Mahomet-Seymour and Allen bounced back, defeating Lincoln in the Apollo Conference opener. Allen delivered 16 kills, 12 digs, one block and one service ace.
