M-S Booster Booster to host Cabaret fundraiser on Nov. 14
By Isabella Zarate
The Mahomet-Seymour Music Booster Organization is raising money to support music education throughout the school district.
The students, along with choral director Nicole Kuglich have been hard at work anticipating the fundraiser.
According to Kuglich, it will be “a fun family musical event.”
Students from MSHS are expected to present their rendition of Music Theatre International’s “All Together Now.”
The show, which is a sort of Broadway music review, will include songs from a variety of big-name productions: “Mama Mia,” “Le Mis,” “Fiddler on the Roof,” “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory,” and more.
“Producing this cabaret after a long hiatus from live performances has been challenging,” Kuglich shared.
Plus, many students are also involved in marching band, madrigals, and the fall play – making it a very busy time of year.
Nevertheless, they have managed to find time to put this production together in hopes of collecting money for the organization.
Collected funds will go towards a variety of things including private music lessons, summer music camp fees, and even scholarships for graduating seniors. The organization also plans to utilize funds to help the choral and band programs with any additional expenses.
Supporters of the event will not go unnoticed. Aside from being able to attend the cabaret, donors will also be recognized in a few different ways.
Prior to the event, supporters can be found listed on the M-S Music Booster website.
As of event recognition, there will be a projection of donors before the performance, as well as a listing in the event program.
For those wanting to attend, the fall cabaret fundraiser will be held on Sunday, November 14th at 2 p.m. in the Mahomet-Seymour High School Auditorium.
