Bulldogs begin season with three wins

In the Mahomet-Seymour seventh-grade girls’ basketball season-opener at home on Thursday (Sept. 16), the Bulldogs not only beat Danville North Ridge, but also didn’t allow a point in a 33-0 victory.
Breckyn Hess led all players with 10 points. Addison Schultz netted six points. Courtney Fonte and Kenna Collins each contributed four points.
On Monday (Sept. 20), the Bulldogs traveled to Bloomington to face George Evans and secured a 33-14 victory.
Hannah Martin hit a team-high 10 points. Fonte chipped in with nine points against the Owls.
On Tuesday (Sept. 21), Martin led the way again, with 10 points, as the Bulldogs romped at home over Champaign Jefferson, 38-10.
Hess scored eight points and Fonte chipped in with six points against the Jaguars.
M-S (3-0) returns to action on Thursday (Sept. 23) at home against Bloomington.
