Senior Ainsley Ranstead (12) and freshman Avery Allen (11) reached double figures in kills on Tuesday (March 16) as Mahomet-Seymour battled back from a one-set deficit to win its Apollo Conference volleyball opener at Mount Zion, 16-25, 25-14, 29-27.
Haylie Orton landed six aces and chipped in with three kills. Ranstead served two aces to go with a block. Allen contributed one service ace.
M-S (1-0) returns to action on Thursday (March 18) at home against Taylorville.
The Bulldogs dropped a 25-15, 25-22 decision in the junior varsity match at Mount Zion.
