Illinois Congresswoman Mary Miller tells crowd Hitler ‘was right on one thing’

Gov. J.B. Pritzker used part of his Wednesday press conference to address a statement newly elected U.S. Representative Mary Miller, from Oakland, (IL-15) made at the U.S. Capitol on Tuesday.

Miller’s comments were caught on video as she talked to protesters at the “Moms for America” platform:

“If we win a few elections, we’re still going to be losing unless we win the hearts and minds of our children. This is the battle. Hitler was right on one thing. He said, ‘Whoever has the youth has the future.’”

According to Hitler Speaks by Herman Rauschning, Adolf Hitler said, “In my great educative work I am beginning with the young. We older ones are used up. Yes, we are old already. We are rotten to the marrow. We have no unrestrained instincts left. We are cowardly and

sentimental. We are bearing the burden of a humiliating past, and have in our blood the dull recollection of serfdom and servility. But my magnificent youngsters! Are there finer ones anywhere in the world?… Youth must be all those things. It must be indifferent to pain. There

must be no weakness or tenderness in it. I want to see once more in its eyes the gleam of pride and independence of the beast of prey. Strong and handsome must my young men be. I will have them fully trained in all physical exercises. I intend to have an athletic youth — that is the first and the chief thing. In this way I shall eradicate the thousands of years of human domestication. Then I shall have in front of me the pure and noble natural material. With that I can create the new order.” (Simkin, J. (1997, September). Balder von Schirach : Nazi Germany. Retrieved January 06, 2021, from https://spartacus-educational.com/GERschirach.htm)

At an annual Nazi rally in 1935, Hitler said, “He alone who owns the youth gains the future.”

Hitler went on to ban all youth organizations, other than Hitler Youth, and recruited boys older than 10 years old to learn semaphore, arms drill and Nazi dogma.Once the children completed the training, they received a special dagger marked “Blood and Honour.”

The main objective to indoctrinate the children was to have loyal supporters of Hitler.

Pritzker said, “Hitler got nothing right.”

“This reprehensible rhetoric has no place in our politics. Illinois Republicans cannot allow this to stand and must condemn this vile, evil streak in their party. If representative Miller was the least,

least bit interested in history, she would visit the Illinois Holocaust Museum and Education Center to learn just how wrong Hitler really was.”

Miller was in Washington D.C., to join Republican lawmakers objecting to the presidential election results.

A staunch supporter of President Donald Trump, has said in a press release that she believes the U.S. Constitution grants state legislatures sole authority over how elections are conducted.

Fellow Republican Illinois U.S. Representative Adam Kinzinger (IL-16) wrote “I outright condemn this garbage,” on Twitter after learning about Miller’s remarks.

Miller’s comments, as provided by Mark Maxwell, from WCIA:

“I want to tell you 2020 has been a very unusual year and proof of it is that Mary Miller, the farmer, mother seven, grandma of 17 has been to Congress. The ‘Squad’ claims that they represent all women in America, but we know that they don’t represent us, or the millions of

women across America that hold that faith, family and freedom is what’s made our country great. We should be unashamed to represent our values. The family is foundational to the stability of our country. When I was asked to run, my response was, ‘well I’m not a politician and, I’m not a lawyer. But, Bill Montgomery, who was instrumental in getting Turning Point USA started, said ‘Mary, we need you because you represent the family. Each generation has the responsibility to teach the next generation. If we win a few elections, we’re still going to be losing unless we win the hearts and minds of our children. This is the battle. Hitler was right on one thing. He said, ‘Whoever has the youth has the future.’ Our children are being propagandized. Today, I want to encourage you to do two things” fill your children’s minds with what is true and right, noble. And then they can overcome evil with good…”

Miller did continue, but parts of the comment are inaudible.
