Petitions available for Village of Mahomet board of trustees

Petitions for candidates interested in filling one of four Village of Mahomet Board of Trustee seats in the 2021 consolidated election are available.

Three four-year trustee seats, currently held by David Johnson, Andy Harpst and Brian Metzger, and the Village President, currently held by Sean Widener, are up for election.

Petitions and the 2021 Candidate’s Guide are available at the Village of Mahomet Administrative Office or can be downloaded from the Champaign County Clerk’s website.

The minimum number of signatures required to be placed on the ballot for the Village of Mahomet board of trustees is 39 and the maximum is 89. 

Petitions must be filed with the Village of Mahomet 8:00 a.m. on Dec. 14 through 5:00 p.m. December 21th. The Village Administration office is open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., but will stay open until 5 p.m. on Dec. 21.

Village board is a non-partisan position.
