Carle adjusting clinic operations to reduce COVID-19 community spread
Champaign, Ill.— Beginning Monday, April 6, Carle is adjusting resources for the continued safety of patients, staff and the community.
Patients who have Upper Respiratory and Respiratory Symptoms ONLY are still advised to STAY HOME unless having serious symptoms.
Carle Urbana on Windsor and Carle Mahomet will be open daily only to patients with essential respiratory symptoms including those with seasonal respiratory illness and those consistent with the virus that causes COVID-19.
· Carle Urbana on Windsor will be open daily, including holidays, until further notice. Hours are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily.
· Carle Mahomet will be open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (closed from Noon to 1 p.m.)
Appointments are highly encouraged. If you are experiencing a fever, dry cough or trouble breathing, call your Primary Care provider’s office or the COVID-19 Hotline at (217) 902-6100 to determine if you need to be seen.
Carle Champaign on Curtis and Carle Monticello remain open during normal business hours for patients who are not experiencing respiratory symptoms, to meet all other essential Primary and Specialty Care needs. Examples of essential appointments include high blood pressure, ear infection and minor cuts and fractures. Patients with respiratory symptoms will be only triaged at these locations and directed to the appropriate location for care. For all needs, please call your provider’s office first. Your provider may address many health needs by phone or virtual visits in accordance with social distancing best practice.
All Carle Emergency Departments remain open for people needing immediate care for life-threatening emergencies.
