Olivia McMurry won two individual events and was part of one winning relay on Wednesday as Mahomet-Seymour’s girls’ swimming team celebrated Senior Night by winning a triangular meet at Stanford Olympia.

M-S totaled 141 points. Runner-up Olympia had 124 points and third-place Jacksonville Routt ended with 61 points.

McMurry was the winner in the 50-yard freestyle (27.55 seconds) and the 100-yard backstroke (1:09.06).

She joined Eden Oelze, Miranda Marcelli and Olivia Ross for a first-place effort in the 200-yard freestyle. Their winning time was 1:54.94. That same foursome combined for a second-place finish in the 200-yard medley relay (2:08.88).

Divers Carly Raver and Payton Turk swept the top two spots in their specialty. Raver was a narrow winner, registering a point total of 166.45. Turk had a score of 165.85.

Turk, one of the Bulldogs’ six seniors, played a part in the other event M-S won, the meet-ending 400-yard freestyle. She teamed up with Oelze, Natalie Heaton and Kate Raver for time of 4:41.88.

The runner-up in that race was another Bulldog foursome: Grace Larson, Bella Davenport, Taylor Easter and Skye Rogers. Their collective time was 4:52.07.

M-S, with a final regular-season record of 16-4, had six total individual events (including diving) where two squad members secured positions among the top three.

Marcelli (2:47.86) and Larson (3:00.14) were second and third, respectively, in the 200-yard individual medley.

Kate Raver (2:32.52) and Heaton (2:37.89) were second and third, respectively, in the 200-yard freestyle.

In the 100-yard breaststroke, Ross was the runner-up (1:27.64) and Anna Lagacy was third (1:34.16).

Three Bulldogs were third individually and the only top-three placer in other events.

Davenport (7:29.18) was the team’s top placer in the 500-yard freestyle, Marcelli was third in the 100-yard freestyle (1:04.01) and Larson took third in the 100-yard butterfly (1:27.80).

M-S also went 2-3 in the 200-yard medley relay. Besides the foursome featuring McMurry, Ross, Oelze and Marcelli, the unit of Heaton, Lagacy, Davenport and Turk placed third in 2:28.41.
