M-S tennis wins three in a row

Mahomet-Seymour continued its record-setting girls’ tennis season on Saturday with an 8-1 triumph at Lincoln.
Since the program was formed, the Bulldogs had never won three matches in a season, let alone three in a row.
The win at Lincoln was M-S’ third in succession, evening the team’s season record at 3-3.
The Bulldogs swept the doubles matches, winning each one in straight sets.
At No. 1 doubles, Annie Bao and Mrinali Kesavadas posted a 6-2, 6-2 victory.
At No. 2, Amalie Fried and Britta Slupski prevailed 6-1, 6-4.
At No. 3, Emma Clements and Molly Fried won 7-5, 6-0.
In singles Fried (No. 3), Slupski (No. 4), Clements (No. 5) and Manvika Kohli (No. 6) swept to victory in two sets.
Bao was triumphant at No. 1 singles with a hard-fought 5-7, 6-2, 10-7 decision.
M-S returns to action today at Urbana.
