The Mahomet Area Youth Club has opened registration for spring break and summer programming.
The clubhouse will be open for Spring Break from March 18 through March 22, then again for summer break from June 3 to August 9 from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Youth between the ages of 6-18 are encouraged to attend. Scholarships are available for youth based on income requirements. Teens aged 13 and up are always free.
Summer programming focuses on opportunities such as:
- Activities aimed at developing life skills including cooking, teamwork competitions, and thought-provoking games.
- Visits to parks, pools, and local attractions in the Champaign area.
- Physical activity opportunities including time at a community gym, outdoor games, movement classes, and an introduction to some sports.
- Free play and access to a pool table, ping pong, foosball, air hockey, basketball hoop, and complete playground.
- During summer, one to two all-day field trips are scheduled. We joined Don Moyer Boys and Girls Club for a field day last year and spent a day at Allerton Park in Monticello. Teens received a chance to go to Six Flags.
