Mahomet-Seymour employee Chris Forman was hired by the Rantoul School District to be the Principal of Eastlawn Elementary School Thursday night.
Forman joined the district as a third-grade teacher in 2008.
In 2016, he was promoted to Instructional Technology Coordinator. At the March 12, 2018 board meeting, Forman was voluntarily reassigned to the classroom. He was expected to teach fourth grade during the 2018-2019 school year.
“I was genuinely looking forward to coming back to Lincoln Trail, but when this opportunity came along, I couldn’t pass it up,” he said. “It’s very hard to leave a place you love, and have worked for eight years, but this is a good professional move for me.”
