Mahomet Area Home, Garden and Business Expo on April 7 and 8
With spring and summer right around the corner, many homeowners or prospective homeowners are thinking about upcoming trends, summer projects around the house and lawn care.
What many people may not think about, though, is the abundance of local vendors who can not only provide services but the expertise to local homeowners.
To showcase vendors, the Mahomet Area Chamber of Commerce will host the Mahomet Area Home, Garden and Business Expo on April 7 and 8.
“Mahomet boasts an abundance of experts and professionals for every area of your home, as well as very high homeownership rates,” Director of Community Involvement for RE/MAX Realty Associates, The Matt Difanis Team Amy Rinehart said. Our goal is to showcase all our thriving community has to offer.”
With 45 vendors available, specializing in every area of the home, homeowners will be able to talk in-person with professionals that have home improvement ideas and projects, & explore emerging trends in home design, décor, remodeling, gadgets and technologies.
“Four out of five Mahomet residents are homeowners, and anything that helps those thousands of local homeowners enhance their home, also serves to enhance the community as a whole,” Rinehart said.
The event will also be family-friendly, featuring the Hillbilly Silly Science Spectacular.
“Kids and parents can expect to be wowed by the wonders of science, with a touch of humor thrown in,” Rinehart said. “ We will also have two contests at the show; a chance to win a dinner for 2 couples with Trading Spaces star Doug Wilson and a free home makeover. Each contest is only $1 to enter.”
Tickets for the event will be available at the door for $5.
“The interest the Mahomet Home and Garden Expo has received from vendors already speaks to the success of the inaugural show. We are so excited to share this dynamic community event with the residents of Mahomet, as well as people from surrounding areas.”
