Lincoln Trail Closed Monday: Water Pipe Broke
Mahomet-Seymour Superintendent Lindsey Hall sent the following message via Skyward to Mahomet-Seymour parents Saturday afternoon.
Lincoln Trail Elementary will be closed to students Monday, October 29, 2018.
“A pipe broke early Saturday morning at Lincoln Trail. Water was found in most of the classrooms and the library. Because of the extent of the damage, we will not hold school at Lincoln Trail on Monday, October 29th, as an another day is needed to work on the building and ready it to be fully operational. School will be in session for all other buildings in the district. Lincoln Trail staff need to report to work at the regular time on Monday morning.
Steps are being taken to remediate water damage and conduct all of the appropriate steps to follow up after an incident such as this. The safety and well being of our students and staff is the top priority as we work on this issue for the remainder of the weekend and on Monday. We are working with USPro to take all of the necessary steps to clean up after such an event.”
Hall wrote that school is scheduled to resume on Tuesday, October 30.
