School’s Out: Martin Luther King Day Celebration

Join the Museum of the Grand Prairie as they explore the rich cultural heritage of the African American community in Champaign County on this Martin Luther King Day.

The Martin Luther King Celebration run from 1 to 3 p.m. on January 15.

Visitors will learn about the life of Dr. King, celebrate his legacy and learn how everyone can keep his mission alive today.

Activities will include a choose your own adventure game from National History Day’s “Exploration, Encounter, Exchange”, videos and songs about MLK, stories for families to share, crafts, and a fun snack you will help create.
