MSJHS finishes strong at State’s largest junior high meet

With nearly 2,500 runners participating the Normal Parkside Invitational Saturday, Mahomet-Seymour Junior High saw many runners cross the finish line with personal bests.

Headlining the finishes are:

Girls’ Varsity (7th team out of 46 teams- 325 runners)
Elizabeth Sims (12:16)- 24th place

Boys’ Varsity (18th team out of 50 teams- 342 runners)
Justin Straub (11:36)- 55th

Girls’ Open (548 runners)
Emily Bednar (13:25)-18th place

Boys’ Open (688 runners)
Anthony Ramirez- 1st place, Race Champion (11:38)
Mikaiah Jones- 19th place
Finn Randolp- 23rd place

The junior high runners will compete at Lake of the Woods on Thursday and Saturday this week.
