Bulldogs pick up non-conference win over Unity

Mahomet-Seymour knocked down 10 three-point shots on Monday (Dec. 13) and cruised to a 63-24 non-conference girls’ basketball victory at Tolono Unity.

M-S also nailed 13 of 16 free throw attempts.

Leading the offense were Cayla Koerner (20 points) and Savannah Orgeron (19 points). Both players nailed three three-pointers.

Also hitting from long range were Durbin Thomas (two), Abigail Bunting (one) and Alayna DeWitt (one).

Ivie Juarez grabbed a team-high seven rebounds. Orgeron claimed six boards and Thomas cleared four. Koerner picked up four steals.

M-S led 18-2 after one quarter and 38-15 at halftime. The Bulldogs permitted just four second-half field goals.

M-S (11-0) returns to action on Friday (Dec. 17) at Taylorville.
